Nothing is more important than quality when it comes to garnet.
We regularly do sieve tests throughout the day to ensure proper mesh size distribution. This ensures that there are no oversize particles or fines. Consistency and performance is key. Waterjet machines are sensitive to clogging nozzles. Any over sized grain will clog a nozzle and too many fines can also create a clog, but also hinder performance. Abrasive blasting needs consistent sizing to ensure a proper profile is met while also having low dust content to increase operators visibility and also safety.

Abrasive Blasting
PMP processes a variety of sizes to create the required surface profile and cleanliness to maximize performance and asset lifespan. PMP garnet has lower consumption rates and higher productivity then other blast media on the market today. Blast with PMP garnet and recycle the spent garnet with PMP.
| 20/40 Mesh | Used to remove thick coatings and rust. Typically produces 3.5-4.5 mil profile on steel |
| 30/60 Mesh | Used to remove heavier coatings. Typically produces 2.5-4.0 mil profile on steel |
